Beijing hosts the eighth Global Think Tank Summit

The eighth Global Think Tank Summit sponsored by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) opened in Beijing on Thursday, focusing on multiple challenges and uncertainties in global development.

Themed on “working together for a better world amidst multiple uncertainties,” the biennial summit attracted more than 400 delegates from 29 countries to discuss issues of continuing negative impact of high inflation and interest rates, policy divergence in major economies, and the backlash of economic globalization versus the security of the industrial and supply chains.

The guests to the summit agree that countries should promote sci-tech cooperation and synergy of innovation resources, and push for a globally open system of technological innovation.
