Battery electric vehicles (BEVs): Extended to be zero-Customs tariff status

The Ministry of Planning and Finance issued notification No. 31/2023 on 27.4.2023 for Completely Build-Up (CBU), Completely Knocked Down- CKD and Semi-knocked Down- SKD systems that reduced the zero-customs tariff status.

There are 11 kinds of BEV such as Road tractor for semi-trailer, Bus (motor vehicles for the transport of the ten or more person including the driver), truck, motor vehicles for the transport of person, three-wheeled vehicles for transport of person, three-wheeled vehicles for transport of Goods, electric motorcycle, electric bicycle, ambulances, prison vans and hearses.

According to this directive, the imports of spare parts (for instance, charging station equipment and device) with the recommendation of the Ministry of Electric Power and the spare parts with the recommendation of the Department of Industry. The previous Notification has expired on 31st March 2023.
