Batch No. (5) of military training: People’s Military Service Training No. (5/2024) opened

The opening ceremony for the People’s Military Service Training Batch No. (5/2024) was held at No. (1) Advanced Military Training Depot located in Chingone Village of Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region in the morning September 9.

The ceremony was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Commander of Yangon Command Col. Tun Tun Oo, Minister for Social Affairs U Htay Aung, Commandant of No. (1) Advanced Military Training Depot Brigadier General Myo Min Than, and other senior military officials and departmental representatives.

First, the trainees company saluted Commandant of No. (1) Advanced Military Training Depot. The Chief Minister, Deputy Commander, and other attendees, Commandant and the trainees, gave a salute the national flag.

Following this, the Commandant of the Training Depot delivered an opening speech.

The Chief Minister then greeted and encouraged the trainees warmly, addressed their needs, and provided cash assistance as necessary.

The training course will cover subjects such as physical fitness, military tactics, small arms, military strategy, field engineering, field administration, and general subjects. The training period is scheduled to last for 12 weeks.
