Basic literacy campaign: Mon State CM gave encouragement and stationaries

The basic literacy of the rural population and the ethnic peoples is being implemented in Mon State and the Chief Minister and State ministers viewed and encouraged the basic literacy campaign teaching and learning in Peinnekone Village-tract of Kyaikmaraw Township in the afternoon on 9th April.

The Chief Minister cordially met with the volunteer instructors, supervisors and local people who have not gone to school, gave words of encouragement and provided stationaries. Next, the Chief Minister and party also viewed and encouraged the basic literacy campaign teaching and learning in AhHtaRan Ward of Kyaikmaraw Township, gave words of encouragement and provided stationaries.

The literacy campaign is being implemented with 897 study groups of 13450 trainees of literacy training, 897 training instructors, 90 supervisors in the townships of Mon State, it’s reported.
