Basic Foodstuffs for Public: Cooperative Dept. selling at affordable prices

Basic foodstuffs and edible oil are being sold at affordable prices in regions and states. In Kawthoung Township of Tanintharyi Region, under the supervision of Regional Cooperative Department, basic foodstuffs are on sale at affordable prices for locals.

Kyaw Soe Min, Director, Regional Cooperative Department (Thanintharyi) said "The regional cooperative limited shared the profit from the fiscal year of 2020-2021 with its members. Also, it sells the basic foodstuffs and edible oil at affordable prices to the public. The price for half of a 12-pyi rice bag is 28,000 Kyats and 31,500 kyats for Paw San Mwae rice respectively. We will accelerate this programme."

Currently, in Tanintharyi Region, two shops in each township under the Regional Cooperative Department (Thanintharyi) are selling basic foodstuffs and edible oil at affordable prices.
