Banking sector: CBM Governor received Indian Ambassador

The Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe received Mr. Abhay Thakur, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, at the meeting hall of the Central Bank of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

They frankly discussed matters more beneficial for the existing trade through direct payments in Indian rupee/Myanmar kyat, card systems and mobile payments between Myanmar and India. CBM’s deputy-governors, the permanent secretary and departmental heads were also present on the occasion.
