Baby hippo born at Dallas zoo

The Dallas Zoo, the oldest and largest zoological park in Texas, has welcomed a baby hippo.

Mom Boipelo gave birth on the day before Halloween. Zoologists aren't sure yet whether the baby is male or female.

They say the calf weighed between 50 and 60 pounds at birth.They say mom and baby are doing well and have been bonding behind the scenes, while dad Gus and half-sister Adanna spend time on habitat.The calf won't be on public display for several more weeks.
