Awarding to the Governors, Mayors in north Jakarta

The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) awarded the duplicate of sacred red and white flag to various governors, mayors and regency chiefs in Indonesia ahead of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day.

The award ceremony was held on two different days – on Monday through Wednesday – at Samudera Hall in north Jakarta. Apart from the duplicate of the sacred red and white flag, BPIP awarded proclamation, speech on June 1st, 1945 and key book on Pancasila education.

The Governor of Yogyakarta had the honor to be first recipient of the duplicate of the sacred red and white flag. The duplicate of the flag was symbolically awarded by Indonesia’s fifth president Megawati Soekarnoputri. Megawati is also steering committee chairwoman of BPIP.
