Awarding Ceremony: Honorary awards presented to the outstanding students

The outstanding students who passed the matriculation exams in 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 academic years were honoured at a ceremony, held at Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

The students are the offspring of the military personnel, war veterans and civilian employees. Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made a speech, saying that the students have brought honour to the families and their schools, and thus, efforts have to be made to become the youths who can bring prestige to the country.

Since the students will become the leaders in the future, the Senior General urged all to strive to become the good teachers and leaders with well-disciplined. It was followed by the presentation of honorary awards to the outstanding schools and students.

During the ceremony, 75 six-distinction winners, 178 five-distinction winners, 6 two-distinction winner soldiers and 16 versatile students were presented awards. The remaining outstanding students will be awarded at the respective military commands.

The honorary awards have been presented to the outstanding student offspring of the military personnel, war veterans and civilian employees since 2011-2021 academic year.

As of 2018-2019 academic year, over 4,000 students were awarded at the ceremonies in Nay Pyi Taw, while more than 6,900 were awarded at the respective military commands.

Moreover, the top 30 students, 3 student soldiers and two officials from two best passing rate winning schools of 2021-2022 academic year were sent a study tour to Singapore and Thailand.
