Awarding Ceremony: Development of school library and promoting reading habit

With the arrangement of Tanintharyi Region Government, the Information and Public Relations Department and Basic Education Department jointly organized an event for development of school library and promoting reading habit.

Those who won the prizes at various activities during the event were honoured at a ceremony held at the No.2 Basic Education High School in Dawei on Thursday. Chief Minister U MyatKo urged the teachers to nurture the students, utilizing the school libraries effectively and to train for achieving reading habit during the leisure time.

This was followed by presenting of awards to the winners at the debate, essay, extempore talks and poem recitation contests. Books and periodicals as well as cash assistance were donated for the school library during the ceremony.
