Awarding Ceremony: Commemorative activities to mark the Peasants’ Day

As the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is conducting pre commemorative activities to mark the Peasants’ Day, award presenting ceremony to honor the best paper award winners of the 6th Symposia organized by Young Entrepreneur Association under the Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Accomplishment Award winners was held on Thursday in Nay Pyi Taw.

First, the winner list of the best paper awards of the Symposia was announced. Then, Union Minister U Min Naung presented awards to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners. He also presented awards to the best trainee award winner at the Junior Officer Course in Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar) and the best shooting award winners at the Clerical Supervisory Training in Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar).

It was followed by presenting honorary certificates to the Yoon Hlyan seed Company and Great Wall Seed Company which donated paddy seeds to the MOCHA cyclone affected areas in Rakhine State. Then, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi presented awards to the 4th, 5th and consolation prize winners of the symposium, 6 Agricultural Economics Award winners, Silver and Bronze medal winners of the para power lifting in SEA Games. 

Then, the Director General of the Department of Agriculture presented honorary certificates to the authors participated in symposium and presented awards to the townships which made exerted efforts in spreading agricultural knowledge through various media platforms from 2021 to 2024.

It’s reported that, the papers presented during symposium are the practical farming techniques that the young entrepreneurs discovered while conducting researches in their respective fields and these techniques will be applied in further agricultural development processes.
