Awarding Ceremony: 2022 best sportsman awards presented

The 2022 best sportsman awards ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Gold Camp in Nay Pyi Taw.

In this ceremony, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan said that the government has taken it as a national goal for the development of the sports industry and is working hard from all sectors.

The Ministry also provides job opportunity to outstanding and successful athletes along with promotion and awarding programmes. Also, former selected national athletes are provided with monthly allowances based on their performance.

Athletes and administrators/coaches who won prizes in the 12th ASEAN Paralympic Games were awarded, the Union Minister added. Also, Chairman of the Myanmar Sports Media Federation explained status of the 2022 best sportsman award selection and plans.

And, the Union Minister presented awards and 2 million Kyats each to Mg Aung Myint Myat and Ma Htet Htet Aye who won awards in the 11th ASEAN Paralympic Games.
