Award presenting ceremony: Shan State CM attended ceremony and awarded prizes

The Taunggyi University Honorary Awards Ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year was held at the Convocation Hall of the University, Taunggyi on February 18.

At the ceremony, Shan State Government Chief Minister U Aung Aung addressed the students, encouraging them to continue striving to achieve such honors in the future. He also urged them to inspire their fellow students and siblings to develop good habits and work together towards excellence.

Following this, Chief Minister U Aung Aung, presented cash of honor for the award presenting ceremony provided by the Shan State Government for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Rector of Taunggyi University accepted them on behalf of the university. Students from Taunggyi University then performed the university song, to celebrate the occasion.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister, the State Advocate General, the state minister for Ethnic Affairs, and the Rectors and Pro-Rectors of Taunggyi University, Taunggyi Technological University, and Taunggyi Medical University awarded prizes to students who achieved first place in their respective years (first year, second year, third year, fourth year, and fifth year), as well as to those who excelled in honors classes and postgraduate programs.

Additionally, students from Taunggyi University performed traditional Shan dances and other cultural performances dedicated to the Union.

Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the completed renovation of the rainwater reservoir within the university campus. They also directed relevant departments to construct a footbridge across the stream and to plant trees around the reservoir, ensuring the area's development and beautification.
