Australia to spend US$8 billion on nuclear sub shipyard facility

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Saturday, Australia will spend Aus$12 billion in upgrading shipyard facilities for a future fleet of nuclear-powered submarines. Albanese made the announcement in Henderson, Perth, where the investment will be spent over the next decade.  Perth's shipyard development is part of a major military restructure to improve Australia's long-range strike capabilities.
