Australia reveals indigenous jersey for Rugby World Cup

30 May 2019

Rugby Australia unveiled the Wallabies Indigenous Rugby World Cup jersey in Sydney on Thursday in a monumental moment according to indigenous player Kurtley Beale. The jersey was designed by Aboriginal Australian artist Dennis Golding. This is the second Indigenous jersey Rugby Australia has launched following the debut of its first Indigenous jersey in 2017.

Australia have sought permission to wear the special indigenous jersey in the semi-finals of the World Cup in Japan. The Wallabies first match in Japan will take place on September 21 against Fiji. They will wear this Indigenous jersey in their match against Uruguay on October 5.
