Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Monday toured the remote northern parts of Western Australia state devastated by a "one in one hundred year" flood.

Albanese, along with Western Australia state officials, visited Fitzroy Crossing and other affected communities in the Kimberley region. He told reporters in Broome that he had seen "massive infrastructure damage" in the region and Australian Defence Force aircraft and personnel were being deployed to help with the relief efforts. Food and other supplies were being flown to the communities cut off by floodwaters and damaged roads.
