Assistance to displaced people: Kachin State Government holds 2nd meeting

The displaced people from Sae Zin area in Haung Par village-tract in Hpakant Township Kachin State are temporarily accommodating in religious buildings of respective villages in the township.
Kachin State Government held the 2nd work coordination meeting with departmental officials and social organizations to provide assistance for living and food of displaced people and rehanbilitation at the State Government Office on Tuesday.
At the meeting, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said thatthey are cooperating with respective organizations to support for the convenience of displaced people and their families in living and food, provide the health sector of elders and children as well as the children education.
The Chief Minister called for the prompt measures for effective rendering assistance and reviewing for rehabilitation.
The State cabinet members, the State level departmental officials, chairmen of Mohnyin and Hpakant township administrative bodies, and officials from social organizations reported assistance measures for displaced persons from Sae Zin area in 13 temporary relief camps, arrangements for their food, living and health, plans to provide assistance by NGOs and arrangements for education of the children in the relief camps.
Likewise, the Chief Minister met with the State Ministers and entrepreneurs in the State for rendering assistance for displaced people on the same day and discussed assistance programs and fulfilled the needs.
It is learned that 2,312 displaced people of 545 households from SaeZin village-tract of Hpakant township are temporarily accommodating in the religious buildings and schools in the respective villages of the township and some displaced people returned to their places with the help of concerned district and township administrative bodies.
