Assistance for cyclone victims: Relief items supplied by Tatmadaw aircrafts

Tatmadaw is undertaking necessary rescue and rehabilitation tasks in the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “MOCHA-affected areas by sending rescue teams. Relief aid and food stuff donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers and relief items provided by the National Disaster Management Committee are being delivered by Tatmadaw aircrafts, helicopters and vessels to the locals affected by natural disasters in Rakhine State.

On 26th May, foodstuff, medical equipment, rehabilitation materials, relief items, tarpaulins, clothes, communication devices, searching equipment and personal goods donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and departmental staffs were transported to Sittwe airport by Tatmadaw aircrafts via Nay Pyi Taw for two times.

Similarly, , military servicemen and disaster rescue teams who will help in rescue measures and rehabilitation tasks in disaster-hit areas, foodstuff, medical equipment, communication devices, rehabilitation and relief items, tarpaulins, clothes, searching equipment and personal goods donated by departmental staffs and ASEAN countries were transported to Sittwe airport by Tatmadaw aircrafts via Mingaladon airport in Yangon for two times. The relied items arrived by the Tatmadaw aircrafts were accepted by officials and they will be delivered to relevant departments.
