Assignment of Senior Military Officers: To carry out the relief and rehabilitation in Cyclone hit areas

Due to the damages caused by Cyclone Mocha, 17 townships in Rakhine State and 4 townships in Chin State have been declared as natural disaster areas under Section (11) of the Natural Disaster Management Law.

The departmental staffs, Tamadawmen, social organizations and local people are working together for rehabilitation works in the disaster affected areas. Among the affected areas, a senior military officer will be assigned in 14 townships in Rakhine State and 4 townships in Chin State in order to carry out the works more effectively and widely.

These senior military officers have been assigned by the State Administration Council Office to carry out a special task of relief and rehabilitation measures in cooperation with the related departments including General Administration Department and local security forces.
