Ashgabat hosts sports events ahead of World Health Day

The Ashgabat Cultural Village became the center of a sports festival that brought together many residents and guests of the capital. The event was dedicated to World Health Day, which is traditionally celebrated on April 7 in countries around the world. 

This day, established by the World Health Organization, reminds us of the importance of caring for health and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population. The event featured not only exciting competitions in various disciplines, but also vibrant musical performances. 

A special place in the program was occupied by bakhshis – folk singers and storytellers, whose songs glorify not only sports achievements, but also culture, traditions and a healthy lifestyle. 

The program of the day was diverse and rich, including such spectacular sports as chess, tennis and cycling. The sports festival emphasized the attention that Turkmenistan pays to the development of sports, as well as the preservation and popularization of national traditions.
