ASEAN Youth Debate 2022 Myanmar participated in 2nd Elimination Round

Six representatives from Myanmar participate in the ASEAN Youth Debate 2022, and the second Elimination Round was held via online on Sunday.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia held it for the first time under the theme of “Addressing Challenges Together: ACT”, aiming to develop young people with research skills, in-depth thinking and public speaking, as well as raise awareness of ASEAN values and identities, among young people.

Singapore and Cambodia teams competed under the title “In order to develop the economy in the ASEAN region, more employment opportunities must be created”, while Myanmar and Indonesia Teams competed under the title “"Climate change is the greatest threat to all humanity".

Myanmar young representatives of the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement took part in the Myanmar Team (2).

8 winning teams from the first and second Elimination Round will be competed in the quarter-finals on 4 September and the semi-finals on 18 September via online. The final round will be held on 12 October and the award-giving ceremony will be on 13 October in Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
