ASEAN Smoke-Free Award: Myanmar’s Bagan Archaeological Zone won bronze award

Myanmar’s Bagan Archaeological Zone won the bronze award at ASEAN Smoke-Free Award (ASA) Program together with Thailand’s Saensuk Municipality.

Iloilo City of the Philippines received the Gold Award while the Bogor City of Indonesia won silver award and LuangPrabang of Laos grabbed the consolidation award. Launched in 2022, the ASA aims to promote and sustain the “Towards a Smoke-free ASEAN” campaign towards reducing tobacco use and thereby encourage and support a healthy lifestyle for all ASEAN people.

The awards will be presented during the opening session of the 16th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting to be held on August 8th in Lao Capital, Vientiane.
