ASEAN-China Media Forum: Myanmar delegation arrived back at Yangon

Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint and his delegation members visited the Guangxi Radio and Television and the Guangxi Radio and Television Information Cooperation Centre on Monday afternoon. Guangxi Radio and Television has signed an agreement with Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information for the collaboration in news, entertainment programs and TV series.

The Deputy Minister met with the Director General and Deputy Director General of Guangxi Radio and Television to discuss the acceleration of cooperation and exchange of study tours as well as expansion of program production and broadcasting.

MRTV is cooperating with GXRTV in the media sector and signed an agreement to broadcast Chinese TV series on MRTV since 14th May, 2017. Chinese TV series, dubbed in Myanmar language were aired weekly and 18 TV series and 7 cartoon series have been broadcasted to date.

Currently, Chinese drama series named “Journey with the wind” and cartoon series “Pure Mind’’ are broadcasted on MRTV. Technical staffs from the Guangxi Radio & TV and MRTV voice actors have served by exchanging trips between the two countries in dubbing the Chinese TV series.

On Tuesday evening, the Deputy Minister and his delegation arrived back at Yangon International Airport and welcomed back by the departmental head from the Department of Information and Public Relations of China to Myanmar Ms. Feng Liping and concerned officials.
