ASEAN-China Center: MOFA Union Minister received ACC SG

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Center (ACC) Shi Zhongjun and delegation at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 20th July.

During the courtesy call, they exchanged views on ASEAN-China dialogue relations and the crucial role of the ASEAN-China Center in deepening mutual understanding and friendship under the six priority cooperation areas which are trade, investment, education, culture, tourism, information and media. Both sides highlighted the successful milestones marked under the ASEAN-China partnership agenda which has been actively supported by Myanmar as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-China dialogue relations.

Both sides discussed to promote cooperation in various areas of the ASEAN-China Plan of Action 2021-2025 and its annex to effectively implement the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP).

The Union Minister and the Secretary-General also cordially discussed projects and activities to be conducted by the ASEAN-China Centre and looked forward to make the ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations more substantive, meaningful, and mutually beneficial.
