Artemis II astronauts receive a hero’s welcome back on earth

The Artemis II astronauts received a hero’s welcome on Saturday, as NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston organized a ceremony to cheer them on. The four astronauts received loud cheers from fellow NASA staff members as they entered the hangar stage.

The Artemis II crew became the first humans to travel toward the Moon since 1972. Greeting the crowds, Captain Reid Wiseman said, “it’s a special thing to be a human, and it’s a special thing to be on Planet Earth.”
