Arrived back from overseas excursion: Outstanding students took study tour to Thai &S’pore

According to the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, with the aims at strengthening of love of the country and patriotic spirit and gaining local and international experiences for the outstanding students, 30 top marked students in relevant subject combinations in the 2024 matriculation examination sent the overseas excursion from 9th to 13th August under the arrangement of the State.

The outstanding students took the study tours in Thailand from 9th to 10th of August, arrived at Singapore on 11th and Myanmar Embassy and Merlion Park. On 12th August, they observed Botanic Garden happily and took the documentary photo.

They also visited Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) situated on Clementine Road, were welcome by the responsible officials from SIM, the facts about the Institute were clarified by Ms Celia Her at SIM Heritage Gallery and took documentary photo together with the faculty members of institute.

The Vice Provost Dr Timothy Chan extended words of greeting for the outstanding students at the Theatre, Charge d’Affaires U Zaw Zaw Soe of the Myanmar Embassy to Singapore expressed words of thanks, Ms Celia Her introduced about the SIM University and Dr Liam Kim Yang clarified the subjects given by the University.

Next, a Myanmar scholarship student explained his experience on the study, the outstanding students asked questions on what they wanted to know and the responsible persons replied to them. After exchanging gifts, Student Ambassadors of Myanmar students studying in the university took the outstanding students around the university library, gymnasium, Student’s Wellness Centre၊ Canteen by forming three groups.

In the afternoon, the students observed Flower Dome and S.E.A Aquarium at Garden by the Bay.Next, they visited Sentosa island, took a tour of Tourist Attractions at Sentosa Beach and observed ‘Wings of the Time’.The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister awarded the honorable prizes to the students who passed 2024 matriculation examination with full distinctions at Myanmar International Convention Center and arranged the overseas excursion for 30 top marked students in relevant subject combinations in the 2024 matriculation examination.

After the students who passed 2024 matriculation examination with full distinctions and their supervisors took study tour to Thailand and Singapore and arrived back at Yangon in the afternoon on 13th August. Those were welcome by the officials from the Ministry of Education, teachers, parents and relatives at Yangon International Airport, it’s learnt.
