






Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the 18th Asia Media Summit held in Denpasar city in Bali of Indonesia arrived back at Yangon by Singapore Airline in the morning on 27th May and was greeted by Yangon Region Advocate General U Htay Aung, responsible officials from the Ministry of Information and Myanmar Motion Picture Organization at Yangon International Airport.
The Union Minister and delegation members proceeded to Nay Pyi Taw and arrived back at there in the evening. The 18th Asia Media Summit was co-organized by Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development -AIBD and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) from 21st to 25th of May.At the Summit, as the point of combating viral disinformation and fake news on the social network media proposed by the Union Minister is being experienced by the countries in the region, it was agreed unanimously and released a Bali Declaration.
The Bali Declaration 2023 includes regional cooperation with AIBD in combating the dangers of misinformation, fake news and disinformation using social network media like deep cooperation for accountability of social media and check and balance between the founders of social network media and stakeholders to control the one-sided news coverage that is likely to breach and curb the press freedom under the relevant law.
In addition, the book in English regarding with the finding of the Union Election Commission on the election frauds during 2020 multiparty general election and a book collected the terror acts of terrorist groups and captured cases from February, 2021 to January, 2023 were distributed to the representatives attended the Asia Media Summit to under the true incidences in Myanmar.
