Arrest warrant sought for President Yoon

The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) requested President Yoon Suk Yeol’s appearance for questioning on Sunday morning, but he failed to show up, marking his third rejection of the summons.

Yoon has not submitted a report on his choice of lawyers or discussed security arrangements. The CIO is considering seeking an arrest warrant due to the repeated refusals. In response, Yoon’s aides argued that procedural legitimacy issues, including investigative authority, must be resolved. Investigators are focusing on the president as the probe into the emergency martial law decree continues.
