Arrest of manipulators: Manipulators of domestic forex rate arrested

Currently, the government emphasizes forging peace and stability and rule of law throughout the nation. Acting on tip-off, relevant security forces carried out to expose and arrest the unscrupulous persons who manipulated to destabilize domestic foreign currency exchange rate by spreading propaganda through the social media networks with the aim at hampering the economic development of the country.

Moreover, some official Money Changer license holders also broke the rules of the Central Bank of Myanmar and manipulated foreign currency exchange rate to destabilize the economy of the country. In the effort, the relevant security forces exposed and arrested 14 accused of the illegal money changers including brokers to investigate.

According to the investigation, while carrying out to bring the 11 culprits who are the mastermind behind the destabilizing domestic foreign currency exchange rate to investigate in accordance with the law, they fled to escape from the arrest of the law enforcement agencies.

Severe level action will be taken against those 14 arrestees who committed instability of domestic foreign currency exchange rate and efforts are being made to take action against 11 evaded suspects under the law. People are urged to secretly inform relevant security forces about those evaded suspects.
