Arrangements for Migrant Workers: SAC member, Union Ministers and officials held a coordination meeting

A Work coordination meeting on protection the interest of the Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 5th January.

The meeting was attended by member of the State Administration Council U Thein Nyunt, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, Union Minister for Labour Dr Pwint San, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Myo Htut and officials.

The Union Ministers and Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand discussed matters on legal employment of Myanmar migrant workers, extension and issuance of the passport, challenges for issuing the certificates for unidentified migrant workers and process for convenient arrangements.
