Ecuador declared a 60-day nationwide state of emergency curfew on Monday after "extremely dangerous" narco boss Jose Adolfo Macias escaped from maximum security detention and unrest broke out at several prisons in the violence-plagued country.

At least four police officers on duty at the scene were kidnapped in Ecuador following a declaration of a state of emergency, said by the police. Authorities are looking for narco boss who was serving a 34-year sentence for organized crime, drug trafficking and murder. The Attorney General's office filed charges against two prison officials who involved in Macias' escape.
