Armed Forces Day in Mon State : Mon State CM attended the celebration

The 80th anniversary Armed Forces Day was celebrated at the military parade ground of the South-East Command in Mawlamyine, Mon State in the morning on March 27.

During the event, parade companies in a military column formation, honoring the 80th  Armed Forces Day took their positions in ground, and the Commander of South-East Command, Ma-j Gen. Kyaw Lin Maung, delivered a speech for Armed Forces Day.

Attending the ceremony were the members of the Kayin State Government, the Mon State Government, senior military officers from the South-East Command along with their spouses, family members, and commanders and officers from various units. After the event, group photos were taken.

Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials attended the ceremony of offering Theravasa monastic building held at the Shwe Taung Monastery in Mawlamyine. 

The Chief Minister, together with the guests, observed five precepts, donated various items and cash donation to the presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimala,  and offered day meal to the members of Sangha at the monastery.
