Arizona voters drop off ballots in early voting

Voters dropped off ballots in Arizona as part of the state's early voting process.  In Phoenix, many took advantage of an official ballot drop box in a drive-up area outside the Maricopa County Election Tabulation Center.

The Justice Department will send monitors to 24 states in an effort to ensure compliance with federal voting rights laws in Tuesday's elections. The 64 jurisdictions where federal monitors — typically lawyers with the department's civil rights division and U.S. attorney's offices across the United States — are going to include Maricopa County.
