Argentine deputies support Milei's veto on pension hikes laws

Argentine deputies upheld the veto on the law on Wednesday that had proposed a 7.2% increase in pensions, along with a bonus of around 100 dollars for those receiving the minimum amount, approximately 260 dollars per month, barely a third of the basic basket for the elderly. With 160 votes in favor, 83 against, and 6 abstentions, the deputies' decision confirms the implementation of the veto without requiring approval from the Senate.
