Argentina committed to presenting the initial memorandum to join the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) before the end of the year, Mathias Cormann, secretary general of the organization, reported this Friday in Buenos Aires.

The chancellor assured that access to the OECD "is one of the priority objectives" for Argentina and that they have already begun working on the roadmap they received in May.

The press conference took place after a lunch that Cormann had with Mondino and a group of governors and ministers, and minutes before his meeting with the Argentine president, Javier Milei. Cormann explained that once they receive the initial memo, a technical review process will begin that will last several years.
