






To commemorate the International Olympic Day, which fell on June 23, 2026, the Ministry of Sports, the Myanmar Olympic Committee, and the Myanmar Archery Federation jointly organized an archery competition and award ceremony in honor of International Olympic Day.
The event was held in the morning on June 30th at the archery training range within the Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex in Nay Pyi Taw. The Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports, U Ye Myint Tun, attended and cheered on the competitors.
The competition events included the (Men's and Women's) Recurve and Compound Ranking Rounds, where competitors shot a total of 18 arrows—3 arrows per round for 6 rounds along with semi-final and final matches. After the competitions, the award ceremony was held.
Prizes and cash awards were presented by the Chairman of the Myanmar Archery Federation, U Phyo Ko Ko Tint San, responsible officials from the Myanmar Olympic Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Deputy Minister for Sports, U Nyi Nyi and the Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports, U Ye Myint Tun, it’s reported.
