Arab delegation calling for Gaza ceasefire meets with Blinken in Washington.

The delegation comprised of officials from Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Palestinian Authority met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in the US capital, on Friday.

During the meeting, they called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, urging Washington to support a UN resolution on a humanitarian ceasefire on a visit to the United State. The UN Security Council was expected to vote on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.The United States, which has the power to reject Council resolutions, has voiced its opposition.
