Applications rejected: UEC rejected applications of political parties

According to the replies of the relevant ministries after scrutinizing applications of New Society Party and Zomi Congress for Democracy Party to continue establishment of political parties under Section-25 of political parties’ registration law, as those were found not to comply with the provisions of Section-6 of political parties’ registration law and their applications to continue establishment of political parties were rejected by the Union Election Commission in accordance with the decisions at its plenary meeting (16/2024) with the Form-G of political parties’ registration by-law on 5th August, 2024 and the remaining groups are also under scrutinization, it’s learnt.
