Application of Science and Tech in Viet Nam’s Agriculture

The application of science and technology in agriculture has increased Viet Nam’s production by 30%. This figure is modest compared to developed nations, where the contribution can exceed 50%. As a result, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is working to bring science and technology solutions closer to farmers and cooperatives in the agricultural sector.

Recognizing consumer preference for health-conscious products, marine aquaculture is increasingly adopting advanced farming technologies to enhance product quality. Besides aquaculture, rice, livestock, forestry, and seed development are also among the bright spots in the application of science, technology, and innovation. These achievements have fostered production, processing, and business links to value chains, thereby enhancing closed and modern processes.
