Application for registration : KySPP submitted application to establish political party

Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish.

To date, 18 groups have applied for the right to establish a party. Among the groups that applied, 15 political parties have been allowed to establish. Among the 15 political parties allowed to be established, the Kayah State People’s Party (KySPP) led by U Zaw Min Oo applied to the Commission on January 21 to register as a political party under the Registration of Political Parties Rule 7 within 30 days from the date of approval for the establishment of the party. The Union Election Commission is processing the verification.
