




The Anti-corruption Commission and the Bago Region Government jointly held a discussion on anti-corruption measures on Saturday at the Town Hall in Bago.
There, in his address, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win stressed that through this discussion, governmental employees can avoid corruption by understanding the issues including actions that can be defined as corruption, negative effects of corruption, anti-corruption law provisions, criminal convictions and potential corruption issues.
Also, Chairman of the Anti-corruption Commission Dr. Htay Aung said that corruption is a major obstacle in the development of the country. In addition to harming the development of the state, corruption has negative effects on administration, judiciary, politics, economy, cultural and social issues, he added.
And, the discussion joined by 193 persons was made on nature of corruption, proceedings of the Anti-corruption Commission and corruption prevention issues.
