





The Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism jointly held an awareness seminar on anti-corruption at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
In her remarks, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing highlighted the impacts of corruption, which can lead to the deterioration of a nation's administration, economy, society, and culture and public Services, and it can also reduce public trust.
Civil service personnel need to thoroughly examine the damages and consequences of corruption, comprehend the legal provisions and criminal penalties outlined in the anti-corruption law and prevent issues that may lead to corruption, the Union Minister added.
And, member of the Anti-Corruption Commission U Than Soe emphasized the seminar's objectives, negative impact of corruption, the Commission’s anti-corruption measures, formation of anti-corruption teams and operation and corruption prevention action plans.
Also, the anti-corruption law, investigation, nature of corruption and corruption prevention issues were discussed. This seminar also included a question-and-answer session.
