Anti-Corruption: Manager Of Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) Faces Lawsuit

The Anti-Corruption Commission announced Saturday that it has opened a file against the manager of the  Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) which is also known as BPI for his involvement in purchasing materials for producing packaging that was not in conformity with regulations.

According to the statement, the ACC’s investigation team found that factory manager of the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) BPI Dr. Aung Zaw bought 26 tons of plastic resin without following proper procedures, for use as bottles for intravenous fluids produced by the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) and the Pharmaceutical Factory (Inyaung).

The ACC carried out the investigation following a complaint requesting that the ACC take action against those who are improperly purchasing such materials.

The ACC opened the file at the Insein Myoma Police Station on 6th September against Dr Aung Zaw under Section 56 of the Anti-Corruption Law.
