Anti-Corruption: AML-CFT knowledge and Real Estate Brokers Training held

Jointly organized by the Central Body on Anti-Money Laundering and General Administration Department, the Myanmar Real Property Development Association (MRPDA) Yangon organized an Awareness Talk on knowledge the knowledge for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML-CFT)and Real Estate Brokers in Yangon on 29th March.

For those who are in Real Estate Services Industry, the must follow rules and regulations and Anti-Corruption Law were shared by the relevant officials.

Vice-Chairman-2, MRPDA, Wunna Soe said "The Departmental officials from Nay Pyi Taw General Administration Department and the External Experts are to offer trainings here including the essential knowledge on Taxation Law, Municipal Land Law, Agricultural Land Law, Document Law, etc. by the relevant trainers from the respective departments in Yangon Region. The application for the first process of Real Estate Agents Registration will be available only if they got AML-CFT training completion certificate."

At present, there are over 10,000 members of MRPDA throughout the country and those completed AML-CFT training are accounted over 8,000.

Chairman, MRPDA Yangon, Thein Lwin said "A total of 4,700 members are in Yangon Association, and working groups have formed in 41 towns. We’ve been conducting regular monthly meetings with the district executives. By doing that, the members can able to perform the tasks systematically under the legal framework and they won’t be involved in the case of fake permits and grants, so also, we have to fight against ani corruption. We are also supporting in the country’s policies and cooperating in the case of taxation of the state."

MRPDA, Wunna Soe said "We are one of the affiliated associations of UMFCCI. Under the instructions of General Administration Department, step by step cooperation efforts are being made for the state’s land cases so that the role of members and their socio-economic development will develop."

Over 1,000 attendees including Real Estate Agents from Yangon, MRPDA members and enthusiasts joined the training.
