Ancient coins found in Ghor province

The Department of Information and Culture in Ghor province, Afghanistan has announced the discovery of a significant archaeological find, 60 gold coins along with a clay pot, believed to date back to the era of the Ghurid Dynasty.

According to the Director of Information and Culture in Ghor, the artifacts were uncovered during road construction work. The historical value of these coins is significant, although their exact monetary worth has not yet been determined. The artifacts were collected by local security forces and have been formally handed over to the provincial museum under the Department of Information and Culture.
