Ancient artifacts: Villagers handed over ancient artifacts in Sagaing

The 5 villagers of KyaungPhyu Village of Myaung Township, Sagaing Region handed over 5 items of ancient artifacts and an artifact of Hansa birth which were found at the site eroded by Ayeyarwady tributary to the Sagaing Region Government as second time together with the chairman of Township management committee on 18th December.

The chief minister of Sagaing Region expressed his honor to those who handed over ancient artifacts and informed that those artifacts will be sent to the department of archeological research and national library under the ministry of religious affairs and culture and the cash awards for the original values of gold, historical value and arts works values will be presented after examining the artifacts by the panel of experts.

Next, the chief minister awarded 4.48 million Kyats to the 5 villagers in advance.
Similarly, 6 villagers handed over 6 items of ancient artifacts and an artifact of Hansa birth to the chief minister on 14th December for the first time and the chief minister presented 5.1 million Kyats to them in advance, it’s learnt.
