Amyotha Hluttaw: Fifth day meeting continued in Nay Pyi Taw

The second regular session of the third Amyotha Hluttaw continued its fifth day in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday with all 209 representatives attending.

During the meeting, four questions related to irrigation, water management, and agricultural infrastructure in Ayeyawady and Mandalay Regions were raised and answered by the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation. The meeting also approved a new Health and Sports Committee, chaired by Dr. Naing Lin of Kayah State Constituency (9). 

The meeting also discussed and formed a Border Affairs, Ethnic Affairs and Peace Committee, chaired by Dr. Manam Tu Ja of Kachin State Constituency (12). Daw Nwe Nwe Oo from Ayeyawady Region Constituency (2) presented the Bill Committee’s report on the proposed Online Fraud Prevention Bill.
