Alumni Gathering: Former students meet representatives of Russian Universities

With the collaboration of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation “ROSATOM”, the 1st Alumni gathering of Atomic Energy and related fields from the universities in Russia and the representatives from the Russian Universities and ROSATOM was held on Thursday at Nuclear Technology Information Center in Hlaing Township, Yangon.

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw gave opening remarks and the former students introduced themselves. Then, the attendees made discussions and exchanged views on promoting the multisectoral strategic cooperation including education, nuclear power, energy, information and technology matters.

Then, they exchanged memorial gifts and took documentary photos. The meeting was also attended by the officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology, delegation from ROSATOM led by Ms. Vera Upirova, Senior project manager, pro rectors from Russian universities, students who are going to attend Russian universities in 2023-2024 Academic Year and the students attending the universities in Russia and invited guests both personally and virtually.
