







The ceremony of offering Alms-food to the members of Sangha dedicating to the fallen Martyrs and sharing merits was held at the meeting room of the City Hall of the Yangon City Development Committee in the morning on 19th July.
First, the Chairman of the Central Committee for Organizing the 77th Martyrs’ Day Ceremony Union Minister for Religion Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials observed five precepts from the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min KyaungPahtamapyanSarthintaik monastery and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the Sangha.
Next, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and officials offered the offertories to the Sangha and shared the merits gained in dedication to themartyrs leaders.
Similarly, the ceremony of offering Alms-food to the members of Sangha dedicating to the fallen Martyrs and sharing merits was held at the Zabuthiri Hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Office in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning of the same day.
First, the congregation led by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo observed five precepts administered by Presiding Sayadaw of MingalarZayyon Pali Takkatho monastery, took the Paritta Suttas.
Then, the congregation led by Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman offered the offertories to the Sangha and shared merits gained. After that, members of Sangha were offered a day meal, it’s reported.
