



On 20th September, the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs held its work coordination meeting for the participation of the Ministry in upcoming census enumeration at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw with the attendance of Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung.
In his opening remarks, the Union Minister said that a total of 107 staff under the Ministry and 322 individuals from the Ethnic Literature and Culture Organizations will participate in census enumeration. He added that 322 individuals are leaders and members of the Ethnic Literature and Culture organizations.
Through them, arrangements are underway for the participation of a total of 18,176 Teaching Assistant-TA and Language Teacher-LT in enumeration process. Therefore, the systematic management and collaborative efforts of the region and state ethnic affairs ministers are necessary. There are ethnic people in Myanmar who only use their own dialects. Therefore, the necessary questions must be raised in local dialects while conducting census in certain areas to ensure accurate data information.
The Union Minister also highlighted the efforts of the Ministry for successful implementation of upcoming census enumeration and called on the service personnel to fulfill their duties with the union spirit for the interest of the nation.
Next, the Deputy Ministers for Immigration and Population and Ethnic Affairs, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council, region and state ministers for ethnic affairs and attendees made discussions on collaborative activities for census enumeration respectively. Then, the Union Minister supplemented the discussions and fulfilled necessities.
